The Center for Art for Peace in Suchitoto, Cuscatlán,
opened its doors to more than 19 visual artists to exhibit their works in a
collective exhibition that opened on April 7.
"United Artists" is the title of this
pictorial exhibition housed in the CAP chapel, which has aroused the curiosity
of both locals and outsiders. In the venue, a series of works of different
sizes, techniques, and themes can be observed, painting the space with various
colors.
The names
of these visual creators are: Ana MarÃa Medina, Ana Frances Portal, Alberto
Merino, Armando SolÃs, Antonio Grande, Bonerges Guevara, Claudia Acosta,
Claudia Zeledón, Cony Roldan, Delmy Guandique, Eréndira Flamenco, Ernesto
Fernández, José Alvarenga, Lolly Sandoval, Marielos Imery, Miguel Martino,
MarÃa SinaÃ, Roxana Castro, and Roswita Duarte.
During the inauguration, the artists received a
certificate of recognition from CAP for their participation in this recent
exhibition, which will be open to the public until June 30 of the current year.
Admission is free.
In addition, attendees had the opportunity to tour the
venue and have the exhibitors speak to them about their works of art.
More than 19 Salvadoran
visual artists are part of the collective exhibition hosted at the Center for
Art for Peace.
"United Artists, the exhibition at the Center for Art for Peace, brings together this year 19 plastic artists from various generations. Enjoy a wide variety of techniques and themes," invited CAP to Salvadorans through its Facebook page.
The Center for Art for Peace was founded on January 16, 2005, to promote a culture of peace in Suchitoto. It is located in Barrio San José, in the building of the former Colegio Beata Imelda, considered part of the architectural heritage ensemble.
